When Evan Peter played Jeffrey Dahmer in 2022, it was a big deal in pop culture. Now, Ryan Murphy’s Monster will have seasons 2 and 3, and each will be about a different serial killer. Netflix’s monster show was a huge hit, so it makes sense that they ordered a second season right away.
Some things will be different after Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. We’ll also talk about when Monster season 2 might come out and who it might be about. Evan Peters got the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie for his role in Monster. This made Monster even more well-known.
Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is a Netflix biopic series about the notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters), who killed, dismembered, cannibalized, and sexually abused many of his 17 known victims.
Monster on Netflix has been in a lot of trouble, but the show is so popular that Netflix has decided to keep it going with a double repeat. Monster looked at the killer’s killings in a lot more detail and recorded many of them in real-time. Here’s everything we know about Ryan Murphy’s Monster season 2: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story, which will be about a serial killer case. And that’s it!
The Latest Monster Season 2
This is the most important news about Monster season 2: the show has cast its first actors. Erik and Lyle Menendez will be the focus of the new season of the variety show, Monster. Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez have joined the cast of Monster season 2 to play the infamous brothers.
Chavez (General Hospital) will play Lyle, and Koch (Power Book II: Ghost) will play Erick. Evan Peters was already a well-known actor when he played Jeffrey Dahmer in the first season of the show. It’s interesting that two new actors will be in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story.
Netflix put out a preview for Monster season 2, and it looks like the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez will be shown sometime in 2024. Season 1 of Monster came out on September 21, 2022, and it’s possible that season 2 will come out around the same time.
This is because Ryan Murphy’s other shows, like American Horror Story, tend to come out in the fall, close to Halloween. For Monster season 2, there haven’t been any updates on filming. However, since the two lead parts were just cast, things should start moving quickly now. Fans can look forward to Monster season 2 coming out on Netflix sometime in 2024. A firm release date will likely be revealed after filming is done.
Monster Season 2 Cast
Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez have been cast as Lyle and Erik Menendez in Monster season 2. This is different from Ryan Murphy’s usual practice of choosing actors he’s worked with before, like Evan Peters in Monster season 1.
José and Kitty Menendez, who were their parents and hurt people, will also be on the show. Robert Shapiro was one of the lawyers for the Menendez brothers during their cases. He was also very important in the O.J. Simpson case. The second was Leslie Abramson, who caused a lot of trouble. Lyle and Erik Menendez were being charged by lawyers Pamela Bozanich and David Conn.
Other people who could be cast in Monster season 2 are cousins Andy Cano and Diane Vander Molen, who were important witnesses in the Erik and Lyle Menendez case. Jerome Oziel, Erik’s psychologist, and Judalon Smyth, Jerome’s lover, should both be in the show because they were both important in the case. There will definitely be more actors in Monster season 2, but these are the main ones involved in the case, so you can expect them to be there.
Ryan Murphy likes to use a pool of talented people, which means that some known faces could be in Monster season 2. Murphy also likes to cast Dylan McDermott, Jessica Lange, Connie Britton, Patti LuPone, Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer, Darren Criss, and Leslie Grossman, among others.
Cody Fern, Zachary Quinto, Lea Michele, Billie Lourd, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, and Jim Parsons are some of the other actors who have been in more than one Ryan Murphy show. Any of these people could be on the cast list for Monster season 2 in one of the other important parts.

Monster Season 2 Story Details
A lot of news was made about the case of Erik and Lyle Menendez in the early 1990s, and there have been many true crime films about it since then. So, the story of Monster season 2 has already been shown on TV. José Menendez and his wife Kitty were killed with 12-gauge handguns by their sons Erik and Lyle in the den of their Beverly Hills home on August 20, 1989.
Kitty was shot ten times, and José was shot six times. When Lyle and his brother called the cops, they said they were out seeing Batman and going to the “Taste of L.A.” festival and when they got home, they found their parents dead.’
Monster season 2 will definitely show how Erik and Lyle Menendez spent a huge amount of money after the murders—$700,000 before they were caught—because this is what led the police to believe they might be the killers.
He told his doctor, Jerome Oziel, that Erik had killed someone and then threatened to kill him if he told anyone else. Oziel told his mistress Judalon about Erik’s confession. Judalon later broke up with Oziel and told the cops about it. Lyle Menendez was caught on March 8, 1990, because the police already had a case against him. Erik Menendez turned himself in three days later, after coming back from Israel.

Monster Season 2 Trailer
Netflix’s Monster season 2 trailer doesn’t have any pictures in it. On the other hand, it shows the date and place of the crime before starting Lyle Menendez’s real 911 call. During the call, Lyle says that his parents were shot and killed by someone. He says he didn’t hear anything and just got home when asked what happened.
The title Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and the scary 2024 release date show up on the screen after he hangs up with the 911 operator. The teaser for Monster season 2 doesn’t show the full clip yet, but it does show that production is still going strong, even with problems like the WGA writer’s strike.
