The series “Fire Force” is based on the comic by Atsushi Ohkubo. It tells the story of Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic who can light his feet on fire. He joins up with the Special Fire Force Company 8—a group of other pyrokinetics—to fight the Infernals.
The Infernals are people who turn into living flames by spontaneously catching fire. The second season of “Fire Force” ended in December 2020. It was one of the top five anime shows on Amazon Prime Japan with the most viewers.
Fire Force Renewal for Season 3
Fans of Fire Force were upset that there haven’t been any details since May 16, 2022, when Season 3 was said to start. As the White-clad planned to start a new era and Company 8 gathered allies for the upcoming fight, excitement grew. When the second season came out on May 9, 2021, it made fans even more excited.
Last but not least, on May 5, 2023, the official website and Twitter account announced that Fire Force Season 3 was being made. Fans were surprised by this long-awaited news. Even though the release date is still unknown, fans will have to wait a little longer until the broadcast is given the final go-ahead.
Fire Force Season 3 Release Date
Now that it has been decided to make Season 3, fans can look forward to it coming out in 2024. When the show was first announced, right after the big end of Season 2, people thought it would come out in 2023.
But since filming starts on May 5, 2023, the new season is likely to come out in the spring of 2024. At this point, this is just a guess, because the company, David Productions, has not yet announced the exact release date.
The Plot of Fire Force Season 3
At the end of Season 2 of “Fire Force,” there were hints that Company 8 and the Evangelist were about to get into a big fight. Shinra Kusakabe pushed himself to new limits during his training so he could face opponents who were getting stronger. This put him in a powerful state called “The Press of Death.” Captain Hague from Company 4 was killed at the end of the season, which was a big setback for the heroes.
But because Shinra’s powers were stronger, he was able to set up an Adolla Link, which gave him a glimpse into Hague’s last moments. Even though we don’t know all the facts, we can make educated guesses about where the story is going based on the source material.
By looking at the remaining books of the manga that haven’t been turned into a show, we can guess what will happen in Fire Force Season 3 to Shinra and Company 8. Season 1 went from Volume 1 to parts of Volume 11, and Season 2 went from the rest of Volume 11 to parts of Volume 20.
Manga fans know that Captain Barns of the 1st Brigade, Shinra’s biggest enemy to date, appears in Volume 21. Company 1, which is led by Barns, has made a deal with The Holy Sol Temple, which is the main religion in the kingdom.
Since the Evangelist is in charge of the government, Company 8 is called a terrorist group, and Captain Obi is sent to jail. Shinra and his friends won’t give up, even though they’re scared. With the help of the mysterious antihero Joker, they set out on a dangerous mission to free their captain from the Grand Penitentiary.

Stars of The Third Season of Fire Force
Even though the official cast list for Season 3 of “Fire Force” hasn’t been released yet, based on the consistency of the first two seasons, it seems likely that most of the characters and voice artists will be back. Shinra Kusakabe, the brave main character, is expected to be played again by Gakuto Kajiwara (Japanese) and Derick Snow (English). Kajiwara is known for playing Asta in the hit shonen series “Black Clover” and Hiro in the card game-inspired anime “Shadowverse.”
Snow has done voice work for many popular shows, including “One Piece,” “Dragon Ball Super,” “Fairy Tail,” and “My Hero Academia,” where he plays the enthusiastic Yakuza character Mimic.
In Season 3, Captain Obi will play a big part. Veteran voice actor Kazuya Nakai will be back, bringing with him his famous roles as Roronoa Zoro in “One Piece” and Toshiro Hijikata in “Gintama.” Obi’s voice in the English dub is done by Jeremy Inman, who is known for his work on “Dragon Ball Z” and “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.”
Iris, played by Mao Ichimichi and Alexis Tipton, Takehisa, played by Kenichi Suzumura and Christopher Wehkamp, Tamaki, played by Aoi Yuuki and Jad Saxton, Arthur, played by Yuusuke Kobayashi and Eric Vale, and Maki, played by Saeko Kamejou and Sarah Roach, are also expected to be important characters in Season 3. The self-proclaimed antihero Joker, whose voice is done by Kenjirou Tsuda and Sonny Strait, is very likely to come back.
