Lucy Letby’s Friend Speaks Out in BBC Documentary?
In a BBC program, a friend of Lucy Letby’s finally broke her silence, saying that she wouldn’t think that Lucy was guilty unless Lucy herself said so.
After Lucy was found guilty of murdering seven infants and attempted to murder six others while she was employed as a nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital, the episode of the Panorama documentary aired.
Lucy’s friend Dawn said in the documentary,
Nothing I’ve ever seen or experienced with Lucy leads me to believe for a second that she is capable of the things she is being accused of. I will never think that Lucy is guilty unless she turns around and says, “I’m guilty.”
The former nurse had warned her pals away from court, but Letby had “all” of them there. Of course, for a split second, you wonder what the police know that you don’t.
But in that split second, it’s replaced by “I know Lucy, I’ve grown up with Lucy,” and the memory is gone. She said that she had been exchanging letters with Letby all through the trial.
However, she hasn’t heard anything new about any of her godchildren because she is barred from receiving information about minors.
Without a shadow of a doubt, we support her because we know she is innocent of the charges against her.
It’s the most ridiculous thing you could possibly say about Lucy. Imagine that your most empathetic, kind, and sensitive buddy is being accused of causing harm to infants.
I cannot think of a kinder human being than she is. She would never do anything but try to aid others. It’s not in her character to be a danger to infants, so to suggest otherwise is absurd.
Dawn and Lucy first met as teenagers in secondary school. As Dawn continued, We’d come down here and stroll into town for meals and a good time at the Cathedral Green.

She considers Hereford to be her true home. Lucy feels a deep connection to her relatives in this area. She acts more reserved, serious, and level-headed within our group than she does in public.
But once we’re in the protection of our group, she lets her guard down and becomes silly and funny. Highly extroverted, enthusiastic about socializing and drinking cocktails.
When Dawn was discussing her work as a nurse, she said, That’s the only job description I recall her expressing interest in. She had a challenging delivery and was thankful to the nurses who helped keep her alive. To me, it always seemed like she was working toward that one goal of being a nurse.
