In addition to being a comedian, Christopher Jerell Redd also acts, writes, raps, and sings. Redd was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 25, 1985, and he and his family relocated to the Chicago suburb of Naperville when he was eight years old. Redd claims that he learned to rap in order to overcome a childhood stutter. He went to Gregory Middle School and Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, and then to Elgin Community College, where he took his first improv class.
