NIT Manipur Non-Teaching Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Education and work experience are must-haves. Master’s degree in any field with at least 55% marks or its comparable grade on the CGPA/UGC point scale and a good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
Or employees with at least two years of regular service as Superintendent (SG-I)/Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2, GP of Rs. 5400/- or Superintendent (SG-II)/Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2, GP of Rs. 4800/- with at least five years of regular service and a Master’s degree.
Wanted: i) Degree in the fields of management, engineering, or law. ii) Knowledge of how to use the E-Office system. iii) A Chartered or Cost Accountant for the position of Assistant Registrar (Finance and Accounts).
2. Assistant in a library or information center –
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Arts, or Commerce with a high grade and a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from an approved university or institute.
Postgraduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking, PGDCA, or an equivalent degree from an approved institution.
3. Technical Assistant –
Essential: First Class or equivalent grade in B.E., B.Tech., or MCA in a relevant field from a recognized University or Institute. Or a first-class engineering degree in a relevant area and a good record in school. Or a Bachelor’s degree in science with a first-class grade from a university or institute that is known. Or a Master’s degree in science from a recognized university or institute with at least 50% or a similar grade.
4. Jr. Engineer –
Must have a B.E. or B.Tech with a first-class grade in civil or electrical engineering from a well-known university or institute. Or a First Class Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering and a good score in school.
5. Supervising Officer –
Essential: i) A Bachelor’s degree with a high grade or its equivalent from a respected university or institute in any field, with a grade of A or A-. Or a Master’s degree in any field from a recognized university or institute with at least 50% or a similar grade. ii) Knowledge of how to use work processes and spreadsheets on a computer.
6. Junior Assistant:
Must have a high school diploma (10+2) from a recognized board and be able to type at least 35 words per minute (wpm) and know how to use a computer and a spreadsheet. Other computer skills and stenography skills would be a plus.
7. Technologist –
Essential: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 60% in Science from a government-approved school. Or Senior Secondary (10+2) from a government-approved board with a score of at least 50% and an ITI course in the right trade that lasts at least a year.
Or Secondary (10), with a score of at least 60% and a 2-year ITI Certificate in the right trade. Or a three-year Diploma in Engineering in a relevant area from a Polytechnic or Institute that is recognized by the government.
8. Office worker or lab worker –
- Senior Secondary (10+2) from a recognized school.
- Senior Secondary (10+2) in Science from an approved board for a lab worker
Age limit
As per Govt. of India rules, the upper age limit is lowered by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for people with disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWDs and 13 years for OBC PWDs), and for Ex-S.
