The fifth and last season of Top Boy on Netflix has finally been given a release date. The popular drama series Summerhouse, which is set in a made-up London neighborhood, will be available to watch starting September 7, 2023, the streaming service said.
Shortly after the fourth episode came out, Netflix announced that the show would get a fifth season on March 31, 2022. Two of the main characters, Ashley Walters and Kane “Kano” Robinson, are executive producers for the show.
The third season will be made by Netflix, and the streaming service will call it “season three.” Last summer, filming for the last season began, and the COV didn’t get in the way.
Even though the last season ended on a huge cliffhanger, Walters and Robinson have said that the last season will “end the trip in the right way.”
In a joint statement, the stars said, “If you’ve been with us from the beginning, you know how much this show means to all of us, and we know from the bottom of our hearts how much it means to you.” These figures have been a part of our lives for more than a decade, and we couldn’t have gotten this far without everyone’s help.
They went on to say, “While Dushane and Sully’s journeys have stayed at the heart of the show, the new characters who have joined the world of Top Boy have become a key part of the show’s legacy, representing each new storyline in a raw, authentic way.”
“Now that we’ve said all this, and to stay true to our original goal, every story needs an end, so season three will be our last. A chance to finish the trip in the right way and come full circle.’ Prepare your tissues, because this is all we know so far about the last season of Top Boy.
When Will Season 5 of Top Boy come out?
Netflix has finally announced that the final season of Top Boy will be available to watch on September 7, 2023. The streaming service has also put out a video for the last season, which looks, to say the least, tense.
Who will be in Season 5 of Top Boy?
Walters and Kano will play the main characters Dushane and Sully again, and Little Simz will play Dushane’s partner Shelley again. Also set to come back are Jaq, played by Jasmine Jobson, Stefan, played by Araloyin Oshunremi, and Lauryn, played by Saffron Hocking.
Hope Ikpoku Jr. as Aaron, Lisa Dwan as Lizzie, Adwoa Aboah as Becks, Theo Ogundipe as Ruben, Erin Kellyman as Pebbles, and Ava Brennan as Vee are also expected to be in the last season.
In July, it was reported that Barry Keoghan, who played Jonny in The Banshees of Inisherin and won a BAFTA, and Brian Gleeson, who played Tadgh in Peaky Blinders, would be joining the cast. The roles of Jonny and Tadgh are still unknown.

What Happens in Season 5 of Top Boy?
The end of the last season didn’t answer a lot of questions. After Sully killed Jamie, Dushane’s retiring hope, it’s not clear what will happen to the feud between him and Sully, which had been put to rest.
In the fifth season, Sully shouldn’t just worry about Dushane. Jamie’s brothers Stef and Aaron may also be out for blood because they lost their beloved brother and main source of income.
There’s also the matter of Curtis, a gangster from Liverpool who was killed in season 4, but whose gang is still very much alive and well. Sully might have told them not to go back to London, but they might be looking for Curtis’ pregnant ex-girlfriend Lauryn and her sister Jaq as a way to get even.
Hocking, who plays Lauryn, told Digital Spy about her hopes for the new season: “I’d like to think for Lauryn and hope that the birth of her child and everything she’s worked for to get to this point will make everything worth it and she’ll be able to find happiness in that.”
